9 Movie Bloopers You Didn’t Spot In The Final Cut
7. Gandalf Smacks His Head - The Fellowship Of The Ring
Ian McKellen's Gandalf makes quite the entrance when he arrives in Hobbiton to see how old friend Bilbo Baggins. Moments after entering his abode, he smacks his noggin on a ceiling lamp and then walks head-first into a wooden beam. Only the first of these blunders was scripted.
Seasoned professional that he is, McKellen remained in character in spite of the fact he probably had a sore head, and you'd never know his encounter with that low-hanging beam was unplanned.
This just proves that some of the most convincing acting occurs when the star in question wasn't really acting.
