9 Movie Deaths You Hear Off-Screen That You Probably Missed The First Time
3. Bathilda Bagshot - Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows: Part 1
Mid-way through Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1, Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and Hermione (Emma Watson) are met by the magical historian Bathilda Bagshot.
After leading the pair into her cottage, Bathilda begins to quickly decay, revealing her to have been dead all along. Her remains morph into Nagini, implying that she was killed by Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) who set a trap for Harry and Hermione.
But when "Bathilda" first approaches the pair, there's a sly aural cue as to her true fate, as you might be able to make out the faint sound of buzzing flies, which of course famously gravitate towards dead flesh.
We don't hear Bathilda die, but we are tipped off about the fact we're actually looking at her reanimated dead body in a brilliantly subtle way.
