9 Movie Franchises That Trade Quality For Enjoyment

3. Indiana Jones

Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade Best film: Raider of the Lost Ark Most enjoyable: The Last Crusade Raiders of the Lost Ark is a masterpiece from a time when George Lucus was creating fond childhood memories rather than defiling them. It€™s exciting, funny and gives Harrison Ford the second iconic character of his career. Spielberg€™s direction is great and every note of John William€™s score is pitch perfect. Everything seemed to fall neatly into place for this classic. Yet, arguably, The Last Crusade is a more enjoyable film, despite not being a better one. While it may not reach the iconic highpoint of Raiders, it€™s easier to enjoy. This is largely because it€™s funnier than Raiders thanks to the bickering between Connery and Ford. The Last Crusade also feels like more of an adventure than Raiders. It trots the globe more freely, at a faster pace and with more jokes, all making for a better viewing experience.
