9 Movie Moments Completely Different In Other Countries
1. Zootopia Had Region-Specific News Anchors
Disney's Zootopia is a set in a world populated by anthropomorphic mammals, and most of them are unchanged depending on where you watch it. That, however, doesn't apply to the animal that reads the news as they vary from one territory to another.
The studio decided it would be fun to reimagine the news reader in various countries and base them on an animal significant to that region. In Canada, for instance, a moose based on (and voiced by) local broadcaster Peter Mansbridge delivers the headlines.
In New Zealand and Australia, it's a koala bear and in Japan the news is presented by a tanuki. China has a panda and in Brazil a jaguar keeps the Zootopians abreast of current affairs.
There were rumours the UK version was going to feature a corgi anchor, but Great Britain disappointingly ended up with Peter Moosebridge like the US and Canada.
