9 Movies From 2016 That Could Make A Billion Dollars

1. Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One

Estimated Box Office Gross: $1.2 Billion Let's face it: a Star Wars Anthology movie, no matter the subject matter, is going to make a hell of a lot of money. Right now, Star Wars fever is mounting to a point of sheer, unbridled insanity; and given that Rogue One is set to follow Star Wars: The Force Awakens before Episode VIII reaches theatres the year after, chances are that people will be hungrier for further Star Wars films then than ever before. Rogue One will be an interesting film, however, because it's set to take place in the gap between Episode III and Episode IV - a mysterious twenty year period with huge dramatic potential, and a plot hinging on a rebel group's attempts to steal the Death Star plans. The cast isn't made up of huge A-list stars, but when has that ever hurt a Star Wars movie before (if you said Hayden Christensen, shhh!)? Also: the fact that Darth Vader and Boba Fett are both reported to be featuring prominently in the story means that there are more than enough iconic characters to ensure this is a billion dollar smash. Although even without them, it'd probably make a billion anyway: it's Star Wars, for God's sake. Like this article? Agree or disagree that these movies are set to rake over a billion dollars each?
