Estimated Box Office Gross: $1.1 Billion It's a Harry Potter movie. Harry Potter movies make a ton of money. What else is there to say? Well, how about that Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them is set to star Eddie Redmayne in the leading role, one of the hottest young actors in Hollywood (fresh off of the back of his Oscar-winning turn in The Theory Of Everything)? Or that the movie is actually written by Harry Potter's J.K. Rowling and is the first official expansion of the Harry Potter Universe that isn't in book-form? Or that it's going to be set in - wait for it - America? Potter madness is set to occur all over again with the release of this new trilogy (oh, it's a trilogy) - the first of what will probably be many, many spin-off films in the expanded Potterverse - and its opening chapter is bound to be a major hit at the box office on account of the fact that fans are starving for more Harry Potter; a fully-fledged film is a dream come true. Warner Bros. obviously panicked when they realised that they were out of Potter movies back in 2011, but cleverly coaxed J.K. Rowling back into the fray on the promise that she could pen her own film. If this isn't the formula for a billion dollar success, what the heck is?
