9 Movies To Watch After You See Jordan Peele's Us

5. Queen Of Earth

Us Babadook
IFC Films

While this film does not have many similarities in theme or plot to Us (other than being another psychological horror film), this would serve as a special treat for those who enjoyed Elisabeth Moss's performance in Us. Moss nearly stole the show in Us for her dual performance as Kitty Tyler and Dahlia. It was her performance as Dahlia especially that disturbed us and shook us to our very spine-tingling core.

Us isn't the first time Elisabeth Moss played crazy. She did just that four years prior in Queen of Earth. Directed by Alex Ross Perry (who recently wrote Christopher Robin, oddly and interestingly enough), Queen of Earth is a psychological thriller where Catherine (Moss) suffers a mental breakdown in the wake of her father's death.

She confides in her best friend Virginia (Katherine Waterston) at her vacation lake house, but the more time they spend together, they realize just how badly their relationship has crumbled. Virginia in particular learns that Catherine has gone absolutely mad.

From beginning to end, Moss is terrifying with a commanding onscreen presence that you could not take your eyes off of if you tried. Before shooting Us, Peele may have seen Queen of Earth and thought Moss to be a shoe-in for playing Dahlia. He was right.
