9 Movies To Watch After You See Jordan Peele's Us

6. Dead Ringers

Us Babadook
20th Century Fox

Dead Ringers sees Oscar winner Jeremy Irons pull double duty as a pair of twin gynecologists. One infinitely confident and charming, while the other is a little on the shy side. While they are world's apart in terms of personality, they take full advantage of the fact that they are so identical. Before we even get to the meat of the plot, readers are probably already seeing similarities between Dead Ringers and Us.

Dead Ringers is similar to Us in that both films feature dopplegangers/twins who on the surface couldn't be more different, but under the surface are actually one in the same. In fact, by the end of both films, we find out that these sets of dopplegangers actually become one in the same, in more ways than we ever would have expected.

Dead Ringers is directed by David Cronenberg and much like the rest of his filmography, it gets nasty in the psychological body horror department. Not for the easily squeemish or disturbed.
