9 Must See 2012 Films Still To Come

1. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

Surprised? You shouldn€™t be. It€™s been nine long years since we were last subject to a dose of Lord of the Rings in the form of The Return of the King. That wait is nearly over. The buzz surrounding its release is huge €“ neigh, astronomical. It was spurred on once again a few weeks ago when Peter Jackson confirmed that The Hobbit would be a trilogy, and that the sequels would follow on a yearly basis €“ much like the Lord of the Rings trilogy. What an awfully nice guy. Once again returning to the direct and drive forward the world that is The Hobbit €“ based on J.R.R Tolkien€™s book, you guessed it, The Hobbit - is Peter Jackson, the only man I would trust with taking what he brought into this world, and guiding it along a new path. The story will follow Bilbo Baggins as he journeys to the Lonely Mountain with a vigorous group of Dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug. The cast is mostly made up of new recruits in the form of Martin Freeman (The Office), Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock), Evangeline Lilly (Lost), Richard Armitage (Captain America), Billy Connolly (Gulliver€™s Travels) and many more. Various members of the original Lord of the Rings cast will also be returning to reprise their roles such as Elijah Wood (Frodo), Olando Bloom (Legolas), Ian McKellen (Gandalf), Andy Serkis (Gollum) and Christopher Lee (Saruman). I€™d get your walking boots on ready €“ this is going to be one journey you won€™t want to miss out on. Best wear comfy socks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xpcwquIpRQThe Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be released on December 14th. Are there any I missed out? Are there any that you don€™t think should be on this list? Remember, I€™m talking specifically about films released before the end of the year. Have your say in the comments below!
