9 Questions That Need To Be Answered About The Doctor Who Movie

9. Will The TV Show Suffer?

Giphy9 Gif Well, it depends on what you mean by "suffer". Suggestions that the movie would be a reboot - introducing a brand new Doctor in a narrative universe separate from the TV series - were quickly nipped in the bud by showrunner Steven Moffat who affirmed that the film will definitely be a direct continuation of the show's pre-established mythology. With that in mind, it's likely that they'll have to halt production on the TV show for a year or two, owing to the simple fact that its cast and crew can't be in two places at once and human beings in general are only legally allowed to work a limited amount of hours per day. More's the pity. You needn't worry because the Grand Moff has confirmed that the TV show will always be the BBC's main priority so the series won't be taking the leap to the big screen until its narratively viable for it do so. Hence the whole "8 year plan" thing. Contrary to popular belief, they actually do know what they're doing.
