Playing with the idea of April Fools Day by packing its movie full of pranks, the film happily pulls the rug at every turn imaginable whilst layering up the bloodshed in increasingly ridiculous ways - with Muffy's wonderful mansion turning into a house of horrors rather than the dinner party extravaganza she'd planned for the evening as her friends begin to turn up dead.
She loves pulling a trick as much as anyone else in this film though, so don't be so sure that you know what's going on until the credits start rolling. A nasty slasher with red herrings galore, April Fools Day keeps you guessing as much as it drives home the fear of going for a simple meal with friends ever again.
