9 Subtle MCU Gags You Definitely Didn't Notice

1. The Baseball Cap Disguise Works - Spider-Man: Far From Home

Whenever they have to hide or lie low, MCU characters always wear a baseball cap. Always. It's become something of a joke among fans, since it's not a very good disguise. Scott Lang himself even calls it out in Ant-Man and the Wasp, when he says "We look like ourselves at a baseball game."

However, Spider-Man: Far From Home is proof the the disguise actually works. While Peter and his classmates are exploring Venice, Italy, Quentin Beck, aka Mysterio, can be seen in the background wearing the signature MCU disguise. They do very little to hide him aside from the baseball cap, but audiences still failed to notice that Jake Gyllenhaal was walking around the set.

Mysterio's appearance proves that the supposedly lame disguise of the MCU heroes actually works. If audiences who are trained to spot Easter Eggs couldn't notice the major movie star, then it's a little more believable that the Avengers are able to get away with their go-to disguise.
