7. Jurassic Park
In 1993 Steven Spielberg conquered the box office yet again with a parable about the dangers of resurrecting long dead terrors better left in the past. Spielberg seemed to miss the point of his own movie when 4 years later he tossed-off the slapdash and risible cash in, The Lost World; another mediocre sequel followed to a lukewarm response that seemed to put the franchise to bed. However, with a recent 3D re-release of the original Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park 4 slated for a 2014 release, the franchise appears far from extinct. It seems less and less likely that Spielberg will recapture the magic of the first film so its probably best if this franchise goes the way of the dinosaur.
