9 Superheroes Who Have Been Played By Three Or More Actors (And Who Did It Best)

8. Daredevil

Played By: Charlie Cox, Ben Affleck, Rex Smith

The very first man to portray everyone's favorite blind, crime-fighting lawyer was Rex Smith in the 1989 made-for-TV movie The Trial of the Incredible Hulk. While his performance was nothing to write home about, he did do a decent job given how low-budget the production was. And he forever has the honor of being the first person to play Daredevil in live-action.

Daredevil would then make his big screen debut in 2003, played by Ben Affleck. And say what you will about the film as a whole, but Affleck was great as the titular character. His acting was on point, and he did a fantastic job at capturing the disparity between Daredevil and Matt Murdock.

That said, while Affleck captured that aspect well, Charlie Cox has captured it perfectly over the span of three television seasons. Season one of Daredevil is arguably one of the MCU's best productions ever, due in no small part to Cox's performance as Murdock. He also did an amazing job in season two, as well as carried much of The Defenders on his back.

Who Did It Best: Charlie Cox wins this one, hands down. Affleck deserves credit for his unfairly-panned performance, and Rex Smith deserves a nod for being the first live-action Daredevil, but there's no doubt that Cox owns this role.
