Regardless of his disputed involvement in The Force Awakens, Kenny Baker will be forced to concede that Anthony Daniels is the only actor to have appeared in every single Star Wars film when Episode VIII is released in December 2017. Baker has been confirmed as having been replaced by fellow dwarf actor Jimmy Vee for the next instalment of the epic space opera, after the latter was spotted filming on location with Mark Hamill. The pair were seen together on the remote island of Skellig Michael in Ireland, the place used for the location of Luke's exile in The Force Awakens. The island has some pretty tricky terrain (Mark Hamill was reported to have been saved from a deadly fall by a guide when he slipped during a climb) and the demands of filming a Hollywood blockbuster seem to have become too much for 81-year-old Baker. His loss is Vee's gain, however, and the actor will now have the chance to add another legendary sci-fi to his CV, having previously played creatures and aliens in a number of Doctor Who episodes, including a starring role alongside Kylie Minogue and then-Doctor David Tennant in the 2007 Christmas Special Voyage Of The Damned.
