9 TV Stars Who Horribly Botched Their Big Leap Into Films

5. Bill Cosby

Bill Cosby is a comedy icon and a television legend, having been the star of no less than six successful television series: I Spy, The Bill Cosby Show, The Electric Company, Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, The Cosby Show, and Cosby. But when it comes to movies, Cosby has had zero success. During the acclaimed run of The Cosby Show, Cosby attempted to make it on the big screen with the spy movie satire 1987's Leonard Part 6. The movie was so bad that Cosby himself urged people not to see it despite starring in, co-writing, and co-producing the movie. His opinion was validated when Leonard Part 6 won three Golden Raspberry Awards, including Worst Actor. Cosby made history as the first person to actually demand his Raspberry "Award." While that showed Cosby had a good sense of humor about the failure of Leonard Part 6, it didn't stop him from starring in another movie. His next film was 1990's Ghost Dad, a comedy about a father who tries to raise his children after being killed, which was both a critical and commercial bomb. Since then Cosby has stuck to TV except for small roles in 1993's The Meteor Man, 1996's Jack, and 2004's Fat Albert.
