9 TV Stars Who Horribly Botched Their Big Leap Into Films

1. Melissa Joan Hart

Not many actresses can say that they've had two successful television series before they turned twenty-five, but Melissa Joan Hart starred in both Clarissa Explains It All and Sabrina the Teenage Witch before she crossed the quarter-century mark. Hart tried to launch that TV success into a movie career and her first film, the 1999 teen romantic comedy Drive Me Crazy, was a moderate hit. But Hart didn't follow up on it quickly enough and only appeared in infrequently in supporting roles until 2010's Nine Dead and 2011's Satin, which were both released direct-to-video. Hart actually attempted a film comeback in 2013 when she tried to raise $2 million on Kickstarter for a movie titled Darci's Walk of Shame. She ended up raising less than 3% of her goal, which pretty much explains it all when it comes to the interest in her movie career. What TV stars who failed at making movies do you think should be on this list?
