9 Unintentionally Cautionary Movie Taglines

1. "Whoever Wins, We Lose..." - AVP: Alien Vs. Predator

The Tagline: "Whoever Wins, We Lose..." If ever there's been a feeling that a movie's tagline has been secretly trying to tell us something, Alien Vs. Predator has it. Nobody expected Citizen Kane from one-man bad film factory Paul W.S. Anderson, and AVP proved to be no exception. Worryingly, there's more creativity in that tagline than in the entire 101-minute film. And the tagline makes clear from the out what we're to expect. Promising a smack-down for the ages between two of cinema's deadliest alien foes - Predator and the Xenomorph - AVP actually ended up offering audiences heavily watered-down versions of both. It turned out that the winner of AVP's extraterrestrial battle didn't matter, because there was only one loser: the movie-going public that got sucked into watching this nonsense. Like this article?
