3. Ant-Man
Marvel StudiosAnother controversial choice here, as Ant-Man is certainly not a household name, a movie version has the potential to come off as something of a joke, and the casting of Paul Rudd as Scott Laing has been received with mixed emotions to say the least (yes, we're talking about Rudd's Laing here, not Michael Douglas' Hank Pym). However, despite the above potential problems, the fact is that the movie could turn out to be a work of genius. Thanks to the relatively low expectations of the fans regarding the project (particularly given the fact the Edgar Wright has abandoned it), the sense of the movie's potential greatness will be heightened more than other movies if it ends up working. Rudd's casting will end up being seen as a very shrewd move and the character could end up being the big player on the Avengers roster and, subsequently, the face of the franchise. Here's hoping it doesn't go horribly wrong and a tiny man running around punching things doesn't end up looking ridiculous on the big screen in live action.
