After a mammoth 25 year development of Terry Gilliam's The Man Who Killed Don Quixote - including a filming schedule that started 17 years before it finished with a different cast - some of the world has finally seen the Monty Python legend's ultimate passion project.

Unfortunately, fans in the UK and US who want to see the Adam Driver-starring fantasy epic will still have to wait to see it after a rights battle convinced Amazon Studios to pull their deal to distribute and stream it. For now, we'll just have to wait and see, but the reviews so far promise a portrait of madness and charm in equal measure.

It's bound to be divisive - as all Gilliam movies tend to be - but for something to go through this sort of arduous production, it almost demands that everyone see it. If only to pay back the effort.
