6. Gambit

Whether Gambit is even going to be made seems to be a point for serious debate these days, but Channing Tatum certainly seems keen to get it out there.

Despite several directors departing and rumbles of serious creative differences - plus the Disney/Fox deal that will no doubt complicate matters somewhat - the film is still officially in the works, though it's now been pushed back to 2019. Tatum - who was actually cast as the character for X-Men: The Last Stand before the character was cut - says the script has now started over and they're looking to do something no other comic book movie has done. Let's hope that's not just empty marketing bluster.

There's certainly enough in the character to warrant his own movie - which is presumably why Tatum is so keen - and if this extended gestation period leads to a Deadpool style character revival, it won't be a bad thing at all.
