4. Terminator 6

In a way, the bad movies that came after Terminator 2 (ranging from the fine third flick to the abysmal Genisys) have only strengthened just how revolutionary that first sequel was. Despite there being more bad entries than good now, the franchise is still kicking, thanks in part to the fondness that fans have for those initial two films.

Consequently, when it was announced that the rights to the series were going back to James Cameron, who was looking to ignore all the convoluted sequels that have dropped since the 90s and follow up T2 directly, fans have once again put their faith in a property that has brought them nothing but disappointment for decades.

Still, there is reason to be optimistic. With Cameron more creatively involved than ever, and Deadpool director Tim Miller on board, the new film is seemingly in safe hands. Throw in Linda Hamilton returning as Sarah Connor, and, of course, Arnie back as the T-800, and the project could be the sequel everyone has waited decades to see.

Unfortunately, the first official photo hasn't offered a promising first impression, looking like a generic, straight-to-DVD action movie. So many people have attempted to breathe new life into the franchise, and if this effort fails, it might be time to call it quits.
