8. Constantine - David Tennant
David Tennant is not a stranger to the worlds of superheroes, sci-fi or magic – so it’s no wonder why Marvel are (apparently) eyeing him to play the villain Nightmare in Doctor Strange 2.
In this case, DC should really pick up the pace on either making a true Constantine film or finally greenlighting Guillermo del Toro’s Justice League Dark movie, as David Tennant would make for a brilliant John Constantine.
From a visual perspective, Tennant isn't exactly the most obvious of choices, but his acting ability would more than be a match for the anti-hero. His portrayal of Crowley in Good Omens provides an excellent basis for Constantine, Pratchett and Gaiman's character sharing numerous similarities with Moore's creation.
