9 Worst Billion Dollar Movies

8. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Ranking: #15

Worldwide Earnings: $1,235,455,500

We were all crossing our fingers but we all knew that, with a tragic inevitability, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom would cross the billion-dollar mark. Indeed, it has and it was the 35th member of the club. Is it a worthy one? No.

It may have offered some good spectacle here and there, featured two good villains and turned Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire Dearing, previously one of the worst film characters of the decade, into a solid character, but other than that this is a laughably stupid and generally rote film which lacks the spirit and adventurous charm of the original; instead it feels like a generic science-fiction Hollywood product that happens to feature dinosaurs.

Any movie that brings in the ridiculously lovable Jeff Goldblum, reprising one of his best parts no less, for a meaningless two-minute cameo definitely deserves to end up on this kind of list.

After Jurassic World 3, the franchise needs to be put to rest. After four under-done sequels which failed to learn anything from each other's mistakes, we've had enough. Universal: we gave you four chances and you blew it. We'd much rather just re-watch the original on repeat.
