A Good Day To Die Hard: 5 Reasons Why The Franchise Needs To End Now

1. What Is There Left To Do?

DieHard5 John McClane has rescued hostages from the Nakatomi Plaza; saved passengers on an apparently doomed airliner; thwarted a madman hell-bent on blowing up one half of New York; put an end to a cyber-terrorist and now he has rescued his son from a political conspiracy in Russia - now what? What is there left to do? There are some who say the Die Hard franchise needs a sixth iteration in order to wrap the series up, namely by killing off the John McClane character and putting an end to the franchise once and for all, but why can't the series just end as it is? McClane has rekindled his relationship with his two estranged children and has saved the world (yet again). That right there is enough of a conclusion for me. There's only so many times that the series can get away with the "wrong place at the wrong time" sub-plot before it becomes a bit of a joke. Do you agree? Is it time for the Die Hard series to end?
