A Quiet Place Part II Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs

1. It Sets Up An Intriguing Sequel

Quiet Place 2
Paramount Pictures

It isn't much of a spoiler at all to say that the film lays the groundwork for an inevitable threequel, which per the film's already-spectacular box office haul is now-guaranteed.

While A Quiet Place II doesn't substantially shake up the formula in any major way, it does point to an interesting throughline for the third film, ensuring it can hit the ground running with a clear purpose and hopefully wrap up a solid trilogy of movies.

There are of course no guarantees as to what Krasinski will do with the sequel, but the implication here seems self-evident - there's a clear dramatic goal moving forward, and one which should be achievable within a tight, 90-minute, trilogy-capping sequel.

While there's no date set for A Quiet Place Part III yet, given how quickly this film materialised - even with pandemic-related delays - 2023 or 2024 seems incredibly likely. Bring it on.
