A real Jailhouse Rock?

Every Saturday night here in the U.K, I'm sick to death of seeing talentless people in singing contests, talent contests and dancing competitions. When will people realise these programs are all just a big god damn hoax so you can call in for your favourite and make them a ton of money? 90% of the time these winners of the shows are never seen or heard of again. What happened to great and engaging television? This is why I can't stand the T.V. and I rarely watch any programs because it insults my intelligence every time I switch it on. Anyway mini rant over. Variety are reporting that the true story of an 'American Idol' like contest that was actually held in an Arizona Jail where thousands of inmates took part is coming to the big screen. The movie titled Jailhouse Rock will translate the 'Inmate Idol Singing Con-Test' into a feature film where Alice Cooper was even a guest judge. How hilarious is that? Can you imagine the toughest guy in the prison having the squeakiest voice, and no-one laughs at him or votes him off because they are all too scared! Brian Robbins is set to direct and produce the movie for Disney. His previous credits are enough to make you puke.... Norbit, The Shaggy Dog, The Perfect Score, Ready to Rumble and Good Burger, so you should no exactly what you are going to get with this flick. Light humor, with absolutely zero substance and soul. Hey... it's just like the Saturday night talent contests themselves!
