A second remake of TERROR TRAIN before the first is released?

Phillip Goldfine, a producer over at Steamroller Productions is so pissed at how rival company Nu Image have handled a remake of a cult Z-grade Jamie Lee Curtis 80's slasher movie by the name of TERROR TRAIN... that he himself has announced plans to produce a remake of his own. Which in layman's terms means, two remakes currently in production of a near three decade old film that only horror aficionados care about.

Shock Till You Drop have heard that Goldfine (producer on THE LOST BOYS: THE TRIBE) is desperate to create a movie that stays true to the spirit of the original and even though he has no writer/director attached, he wants TERROR TRAIN out before the end of next year. Currently Nu Image's retitled remake TRAIN starring Thora Birch and written & directed by Gideon Raff (THE KILLING FLOOR) has no release date attached, and may head STV dubbed "HOSTEL on rails". The trailer for the original movie can be seen here...

Ironically, the original 1980's TERROR TRAIN was made as an unofficial, kind of sequel to John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN. Oh how we have lived through many HALLOWEEN sequels, redo's, reboots, etc since then?
