Adam Sandler: 5 Awesome Performances and 5 That Sucked

1. Jack and Jill (2011)

Excuse me; I just threw up in my mouth a little. There€™s one joke in Jack and Jill, and that€™s that people paid to see it. Which I guess is pretty funny, to anyone who didn€™t. But then that€™s it. Nothing else of comedic note or value occurs within or anywhere surrounding this terribly ill-conceived, pocket padding vanity project. Sandler just seems tired both as Jack Sadelstein and his completely obnoxious twin sister Jill Sadelstein, tired of the same old poop-and-dick-gag schtick, but at the same time stuck without a better project. Even as a straight comedy actor, Sandler is capable of so much more than this; that Jack and Jill was made at all, that it was lent any credence outside of the narcissistic cocaine-fuelled mirror w**k that it was undoubtedly conceived during, is just another in a long line of slaps in the face from mainstream Hollwood. So there you have it, 5 awesome Sandler performances and 5 that sucked harder than a genetically enhanced aardvark. Anything we missed? Do let us in on it.
