Adam Sandler's gonna be in THE GREEN HORNET

Now that we know THE GREEN HORNET is definitely still on at Sony, we can get down to talking about casting. The LA Times have a brief snippet claiming that Adam Sandler will be taking on €œa brief but key role in the movie as a certain surprise superhero€. Sandler and Seth Rogen co-star in Judd Apatow's next movie FUNNY PEOPLE, due out July 31st 2009 and probably cooked up the idea on the set of that movie. Am I right in remembering that GREEN HORNET'S Britt Reid is related to THE LONE RANGER? the-lone-ranger Automatically you think he will cameo as the RANGER but then you remember Disney own the rights to that series and are pushing forward with a big movie adaptation, probably with George Clooney and Johnny Depp and wouldn't like the piss taken out of the character over at another studio. But if it's not THE LONE RANGER, who can it be?
