After Skyfall: 10 Viable Candidates For Next James Bond Theme Song

4. Muse

The only group on this list, Muse would follow in the footsteps of a-ha, Duran Duran and Wings if selected for a Bond theme, and their ability to create music of assorted styles, ranging from their original alternative rock sound to the dubstep-influenced tracks on their new album, The 2nd Law, makes them a strong contender. Though mainstream success for rock bands is currently (and sadly) lacking in the UK, Muse have thrived for many years. Their large fanbase have clamoured for them to be offered the opportunity to perform a Bond theme in the past, with the band themselves offering their Olympic theme, Supremacy, for use in Skyfall, though they were ultimately passed over in favour of Adele. The track wasn€™t their greatest, however, and should they offer something similar to past hits such as €˜Plug In Baby€™, €˜Map Of The Problematique€™ or €˜Bliss€™ in the future, they could well become the first group since Garbage in 1999 to provide a song for 007.
