Age Of Ultron: 10 Concerns You Should Have About The Avengers Sequel
7. Couldn't Scarlet Witch Just Click Her Fingers And End The Problem?
The problems with including Scarlet Witch in this movie are twofold; First, if she's not as powerful as her comic book counterpart, there will be complaints. The character can manipulate probability and alter reality itself - that's just what she does - and seeing her struggling to fend off generic robotic drones using weak-ass telekinesis will suck big time. Anything like that wouldn't really be Scarlet Witch. Second, if she is portrayed as being that powerful, there's no reason why she couldn't end Ultron's reign of terror with the click of her fingers and seeing her struggling against his drones would be ridiculous. It's a double-edged sword and it will be very hard for Marvel Studios to get the balance right. Perhaps she will only just have spawned her powers and they will increase to reality-warping levels when Thanos appears in the third Avengers movie - that way, they at least have something to stand up to the Infinity Gauntlet-wielding Mad Titan.
