Age Of Ultron: 10 Unlikely Things That Could Be Referenced

1. The Masters Of Evil

Marvel StudiosMarvel StudiosWhen it was confirmed that Baron Wolfgang von Strucker would be appearing in Age of Ultron (having already appeared in the mid-credits scene of Captain America: The Winter Soldier), played by Thomas Kretschmann, people started speculating about why a secondary villain was necessary. Apparently, the opening scenes of the movie will involve a battle between the Avengers and Strucker's forces (which will, initially, include Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver), but the fact that Strucker has signed a multi-film deal with Marvel would suggest that there is more to come from him in future movies. Could he join forces with Ultron and form a Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the Masters of Evil, along with a number of other villains (Abomination, Loki, the revived Red Skull etc)? It seems odd that he would be included in the movie, only to be a bit-part character. Regardless of whether or not the potential Masters of Evil reference has anything to do with Ultron and Strucker forming the group, the fact that Ultron has led an incarnation of the evil team in the Marvel comics would suggest that, whilst unlikely, there is a small and interesting possibility that the same could happen in the movies. So there you have it - ten unlikely (but interesting) things that could be referenced in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Did you like this article? Would you like to see any of these things referenced in some form in Age of Ultron? What else from Ultron's comic book history would it be cool to see referenced?
