7. Will Prometheus Be At All Involved?

According to insiders Blomkamp's Alien film will have relatively little to do with the sequel to Prometheus. Original Alien director Ridley Scott went back and decided to answer a lot of the unanswered questions his original film brought up, tying the loose ends involving the origins of the xenomorph and who that huge Space Jockey guy in the big gun in the first film was. Who he was...well, was pretty complicated, the film being a messy combination of sci-fi action that demurred from ever just being a proper Alien prequel (it would've been much better if it had just accepted it) and a sort of semi-serious philosophical treatise on our place in the universe. With some Jesus imagery thrown in for good measure. Regardless of how unconnected Blomkamp's film is from that production €“ both will be made through Ridley Scott's company, mind €“ Prometheus is still canon. Technically. So whether any of those concepts will carry through will be interesting to see. Especially since the concept art involved...well...
