On that note, there's also the question of which way this movie will go: Alien or Prometheus? It's one that works on a couple of different levels.

The first is in terms of plot and its themes, as there's plenty here that suggests a more direction connection to the Alien films, but the nods towards Shaw, David, and the Engineers suggest it could continue exploring those threads as well. It's expected there'll still be at least one more film after this one to take it even closer to Alien, so it can't connect too much just yet.

Then there's the issue of quality, which is a rather different measure. The first Alien is an all-time great horror movie; Aliens is a brilliant sci-fi action film; Prometheus attempts to be something grander than both, but ends up a bit muddled. Is this going to be an Alien or an Prometheus? The trailer gives hope of it being the former, but we'll have to wait until May to find out for certain.
