13. Faris' Clumsy Death

Though the initial neomorph backburster scene is one of the movie's most intense and well-wrought scenes, it also leads to the calamitously dumb moment where a panicked Faris attempts to kill the newborn neomorph with a shotgun, completely ignoring the flammable canisters in plain sight.

Surprise, surprise, her blind shooting eventually ignites the canisters, causing a huge explosion that destroys the lander and everything inside it (including her).

While her panic is believable to an extent, the fact that she would so brazenly fire near clearly explosive objects is just too asinine to be acceptable, especially after everything audiences had to roll their eyes at in Prometheus.
