Alien: Covenant Prologue - 12 Things You Probably Missed

The Last Supper features an amusing fake-out sequence as Callie Hernandez's character starts choking during dinner, and it seems like she might be about to be chest-bursted ala Kane (John Hurt) in the original Alien.

After a hard smack on the back from Walter, however, she's fine, and it turns out she was just choking on some drink. While even the most casual Alien fan would catch this reference, you might've missed Tennessee (Danny McBride) joking, "The food's not that bad", which is an almost direct lift of Parker (Yaphet Kotto) telling Kane, "The food ain't that bad, baby" in Alien.

To some it might be a bit of an eye-roller, while to others it's fine as long as the final movie doesn't go this overboard with the nostalgic winks at the audience.
