2. Steel Alien Queen
I came across this oddity a while ago, and thought it was both beautiful and bizarre in equal measure. Made completely of recycled metal, this Alien Queen statue by Irish company Robosteel is just under half the size of the movie version at 8 feet, is made from over 4000 pieces of polished and lacquered steel, and weighs an almighty 1200 pounds. This beauty took a three man team three months to construct and 90% of it was made from old Yamaha motorbike parts recovered from scrap yards. Just a bit more proof that what one person sees as rubbish can quite possibly become something stunning in the right hands.
