Immensely quotable and ridiculously entertaining, Predator strikes a perfect balance of horror, suspense and crazy action. From the immediately iconic design of the creature itself to the fact that nearly every single character gets a chance to shine or deliver a memorable line to the awesome final showdown between Arnold Schwarzenegger's Dutch and the Predator, the film continues to deliver on entertainment over 25 years later. The film takes such a simple premise and runs with it, providing an immensely quotable rollercoaster ride of a good time, all to the tune of a slick score courtesy of Alan Silvestri. There's a reason the titular character quickly became popular and it all started here. It's a classic that, despite the existence of one lame sequel and the dreary AVP films, still holds up and is a definite must-see for the six science fiction/horror fans out there who have somehow never experienced it.
