All 10 X-Men Movies In The Order You Must Watch Them
8. X-Men (2000)
This is the movie that started it all. As one of the major releases that pushed comic book movies to the forefront of pop culture, it has an important place in history. When it came out, it didn't need to concern itself connecting itself to a larger film canon, but it no longer has that simple luxury.
This movie takes place around the year 2000. It says it's in the "Not Too Distant Future," but they keep mentioning that it's been 15 years since Wolverine lost his memories in the mid 1980s. So by "Not Too Distant Future," they apparently meant a few months.
Xavier says that Magneto helped him build Cerebro, but we saw that Beast built the original one in the 1960s. Let's assume that Magneto maybe helped move a panel or two with his powers and that counts as helping.
Xavier says that he was 17 when he met Magneto, but was shown to meet him after he graduated from Oxford. Since Xavier has one of the greatest minds in the Marvel Universe, apparently he graduated from Oxford at a very young age. Since he was that young, he probably shouldn't have been drinking in that bar during X-Men: First Class.
Sabretooth has a very different look than he did in Origins, going from short hair and a long coat to looking monstrous. In the comics, Sabretooth became more feral as time went on, which apparently is happening in the movies as well.
