Alternate Versions Of Every MCU Movie We Almost Got To See

1. Avengers: Infinity War Featuring Adam Warlock

After Adam Warlock was introduced in one of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2's post-credits scenes, Avengers: Infinity War writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely briefly considered fully introducing the character in the film.

They decided against it, however, because his inclusion would likely feel rushed in a movie that already has to juggle Thanos' quest for the Infinity Stones and the various Avengers team-ups.

It's widely expected that Warlock will make his proper MCU debut in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, though with James Gunn now booted from the franchise, there are no guarantees.

Would It Have Worked?: Probably not. Markus and McFeely's instincts were right: a character of Warlock's stature and fandom deserves his own film, and having him play second fiddle to so many other characters would just do him a disservice.

It's easy to imagine Infinity War suffering from similar issues to Age of Ultron if Warlock was included, namely a distinct lack of focus and feeling grossly overstuffed.
