The Amazing Spider-Man 2: 10 Ways The Reboot Is Superior

Sam Raimi may have brought us one of the best sequels in superhero history, but Marc Webb's take on the character is far better.

Marc Webb's Spider-Man universe is on track to be a very different beast from its predecessor; Raimi's movies delivered one of the most loved sequels of all time and had a combined worldwide gross income of $2,484 million. But with one successful reboot completed and the potential rise of the Sinister Six in the upcoming sequel, audiences are witnessing a confident, epic, very different saga from Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy. Recently at Whatculture we discussed 10 reasons why The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is going to fail. There might be a sense of fatigue as the film approaches (it does appear we've seen a good chunk of it in the last 584,674 trailers), but there are plenty of fans (myself included) that can't wait to see what the sequel to the best Spider-Man film to date brings us. With a stronger lead, phenomenal casting and a whole heap of mystery, Webb's Spideyverse is doing the unthinkable; bringing Spider-Man to audiences that is better than anything that has come before. With The Amazing Spider-Man as our primary point of reference and a number of predictions based on the trailers and comments from Webb himself, I look at 10 reasons why Webb's movies are already doing things better than Raimi's. Sacrilege you ask? Allow me to change your mind but if you don't agree, please feel free to comment below!
