5. Tom Hardy

Whether or not Tom Hardy would be open to the idea of playing a CGI-heavy character is open to debate (he takes himself extremely seriously and likes to test himself as much as possible) but, if he was, this could potentially be a dream casting. However, having already played Bane in a DC live action movie, and given how much he likes to stretch himself as an actor with regards to the versatility of the roles he takes, there is another reason why he might not be open to the idea. He certainly has the build and presence to play an intimidating portrayal of the 616 version of the character and we already know he can play the comic book villain role to a high standard as a general rule thanks to his stint as Bane, but simply getting someone as respected, esteemed, celebrated and generally as big a name as Hardy would be an excellent coup for the Spider-Man franchise. Essentially, he'd be absolutely fantastic for the role, but whether or not it could ever happen is a different matter entirely.
