5. The Humour Is Still There

Fans have been quick to attack this sequel for its assortment of villains (we will not only see Electro, but Rhino, what appears to be Green Goblin, and hints at the Sinister Six as well), but little did we know that another enemy will attempt to foil Peter's heroics: the dangerous and overbearing Laundry Sheriff. The trailer opens and closes with humorous bits between Peter Parker and his loving guardian, Aunt May (played, once again, by the wonderful Sally Field). Up until now we've seen no signs of Peter's trademark humour in this film, something that helps set him apart from the plethora of other superheroes vying for box office domination. This trailer showed that amid the chaos that has befallen New York this time around, there will still be plenty of lighter moments to balance out the movie. Though, I must note, wouldn't Aunt May think Peter was on drugs or something, claiming to clean a chimney they don't have? And didn't they have a silent understanding at the end of the last movie about him being Spider-Man? I guess time will tell what she really knows (or suspects)...
