4. J Jonah Jameson Will Be Revealed

So far, Marc Webb has been careful not to show too much flesh when it comes to seeding future characters, and while Sam Raimi went straight for the fan-service of J Jonah Jameson in the first franchise (and why wouldn't he, with such an astutely cast actor as JK Simmons?) the new series leader has kept his JJJ card close to his chest so far. There have been hints of Jameson so far, from the wide-spread presence of the Daily Bugle as this universe's monopolising media giant through to a glimpse of direct (and characteristically angry) email exchanges with Parker, but we are yet to see the Bugle's supremo in all his glory. No matter how far Webb deviates from the comics, it looks like Peter's trajectory to the Bugle as a photographer is already confirmed, and it is only a matter of time before Jameson rears his head. Quite how whoever is cast holds up against Simmons' performance remains to be seen though, because those are some almighty boots to fill.
