The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Villains: 6 Things That Look Great (And 3 That Suck)
2. Too Many Villains Too Quickly
You can look at this from two perspectives - the positive one in the first part of this list, or the fact that it could be detrimental to character development and the story as a whole. Done correctly, we know that superhero movies can accommodate large casts of characters (see the Avengers movie for a prime example in that regard), but introducing so many new ones in the same movie could backfire. It's great for the expansion of this franchise, but will the shared screen time mean a lack of depth to each of the individual characters? Will the cramming result in the actual plot being neglected somewhat? We have to hope that the answer to those questions is "no" and that the right balance is found between the characters and the plot, but there's definitely a risk to the contrary with such an extensive roster of villains and characters in general.
