4. Peter Parker's Recovery

The death of Gwen Stacy completely devastated Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The relationship between the two characters was one of the best things about the movie and arguably the relationship with the best chemistry ever seen in a comic book movie. The death scene was filmed brilliantly and the impact on audiences - even though people familiar with the comic books were expecting it - was huge. The movie went on to show Parker at Gwen's grave every day over the course of several months (given the obvious weather changes shown), before he finally put the Spidey suit back on after watching Gwen's inspirational graduation speech. But he won't be over her death - not by a long shot. The Amazing Spider-Man 3 will need to show further bereavement and recovery on Peter's part - and we're sure it will. On a related note...
