The Amazing Spider-Man: 9 Predictions For His Cinematic Universe

9. Venom Is A Creation of OsCorp

Going off what is deemed as a hidden easter egg within the trailer, the mention of "Venom Storage" strongly suggests Venom's role at some point during Spider-Man's epic saga. Venom, one of Spider-Man's chief villains, has been something of an enigma these past couple of years. With Sony trying desperately to release a solo Venom film and rumors running rampant that he appeared briefly in the TASM2 trailer, swinging around the city in the background, his presence has been hinted and speculated for some time now. But by mere mention of his name in the picture down below, the fans can rejoice over the possibility of Venom appearing during Spider-Man's four-film sprint.
What's interesting to pinpoint here is how his name is in OsCorp's inventory of data logs and labeled names (some already well versed, like Dr. Morbius). Whether it's just a simple nod or a possible direction at bringing Venom into the fold has yet to be decided, but it raises a lot of amusing questions. The most quintessential question of them all being "Is Venom a product of OsCorp?" The verdict says "quite possibly" on this one. OsCorp seems to be pulling all the threads up until now, and their presence is coming in full for TASM2, having spewed out Electro, Rhino, and Harry Osborn's version of the Green Goblin. The viral marketing campaign also brought up Eddie Brock, so by putting two and two together Eddie's involvement might be under OsCorp's influence if Venom is indeed a creation of OsCorp's devious purposes. Perhaps OsCorp came upon the possession of the meteorite with which the symbiote traveled in and placed it in cyro-storage, dubbing it Venom Storage? If that's the case then Venom, as a character, is already an entity waiting to be discovered. And if not by mention or reference in TASM2, then most certainly in one of the later sequels.
