2. Hire Zachary Quinto
As for who should play the villain, several have been discussed for the role. Bruce Campbell was rumored to play him in Spider-Man 4 until that plug was pulled, and Nathan Fillion has also been a contender. However my pick for Quentin Beck, aka Mysterio is none other than Mr. Zachary Quinto. He simply has the look and the charisma that I believe works with my character of Mysterio, and he even resembles Quentin Beck from the comic books a little bit when he played Spock, with the mop-style hair. He is no stranger to playing the villain as he was the antagonist Sylar on the show Heroes and a psychopath on the 2nd season of American Horror Story. He is an extremely underrated actor and I think he would benefit from the role of a Spider-Man villain. Also, if Mysterio is to be an 'alien', couldn't you also see Zach bringing over some of his Spock mannerisms to the character? He has never been in a comic book movie before and has been discussed for the part on various fan websites, and I could not agree more. I simply think he would kill it as Mysterio. Hate to say it, but casting him would be 'out of this world'.
