4. The Slick, Fast-Paced Editing

It's hardly surprising that it took a team of three editors to bring Liman's vision to the screen, given some of his more audacious stylistic choices and the frantic nature of all that handheld coverage.

The snappy editing is easily one of the movie's biggest assets, employing sharp cut-aways to relevant images and information, and ensuring that the fairly rote frame narrative doesn't outstay its welcome.

And most importantly, the expert editing keeps the pace up throughout the 115 minute run-time, guaranteeing that there's virtually no downtime or respite for audiences to get restless.

Some of the zanier editing tricks, such as a few weird digital zooms, won't be for everyone, but given how potentially messy it all could've been, the end result feels strictly taut for the majority.
